Airport lounge access — the full conditions
If lounge access is shown for your Card tier in the Sinder app, it may be provided through Mastercard Travel Pass by DragonPass or another partner shown in the app, subject to eligibility, visit and guest limits, participating locations, capacity, possible fees and partner terms; entry is not guaranteed. This page sets out the full conditions in plain language.
Who can use lounge access
Lounge access is a conditional partner benefit, not a standing entitlement. You can use it only if it is shown for your Card tier in the Sinder app, your ruya-issued Card and account are active and in good standing, and you have completed the required onboarding and verification checks.
Where shown, access may be provided through Mastercard Travel Pass by DragonPass or another partner shown in the app. Benefits can differ between Card tiers, and availability can change as partners refresh their programmes.
The USD 1 international-transaction unlock
Under Mastercard's UAE Platinum schedule (May 2026), cardholders must make at least one international transaction of USD 1 or more (or the local-currency equivalent), in store or online, to unlock airport lounge access and airport dining offers.
Each qualifying transaction unlocks a 3-calendar-month access window from the date of the last transaction. Keep making a qualifying international transaction and the window rolls forward; stop, and access is paused.
Platinum cardholders receive one lounge visit or dining offer before meeting the spend requirement; if unused, it expires at the end of the same calendar year. If your access has been paused, it is reinstated up to 72 hours after your next qualifying transaction.
UAE Platinum caps
- Up to 6 airport lounge visits per calendar year.
- Up to 6 airport dining offers (where available) per calendar year.
- You can choose lounge visits or dining offers, but both draw down the same annual caps.
- Unused visits and offers do not carry over — they lapse on 31 December each year.
Guests, QR codes and boarding passes
- Register your card in the Mastercard Travel Pass app and present your individual QR code at the lounge reception, together with your boarding pass and identification where asked.
- Each traveller should present their own QR code — using one code for several people can trigger guest charges.
- Guests travelling on the same flight can join you only if guest visits are part of your entitlement; otherwise a guest fee (about USD 32 per guest under the Mastercard schedule) may be charged to your card.
If access is paused or your visits run out
If you have no remaining visits, or lounge access is not shown for your Card tier, the lounge may decline entry or offer paid entry at the rates it publishes, charged to your card under the partner's terms.
Check the Mastercard Travel Pass app for your remaining entitlement before travelling — it shows your current visit balance and whether access is paused.
Sinder-side conditions (Benefits & Rewards Terms)
- Entry is not guaranteed: lounges can refuse entry or ask you to leave because of capacity, security restrictions, conduct rules, dress code, guest and child rules, or other rules set by the lounge or airport.
- Access depends on participating locations, opening hours and capacity, and on the conditions shown in the Sinder app.
- Benefits may be introduced, changed, suspended or withdrawn, including for commercial, operational, regulatory, risk or partner-related reasons.
- If your Card tier changes, or your Card or account is closed, suspended or blocked, you may lose access and unused benefits may be forfeited.
- Partner fees — such as guest fees or premium charges — are your responsibility unless the benefit terms clearly say they are covered.
