This document explains how you can ask Sinder for access to, correction of, deletion of or other action relating to personal data we hold or can access through the Sinder App and Services.
In this document, "we", "us" and "our" mean Sinder Fintech Computer Systems & Communication Equipment Software Design L.L.C.
1. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- request a copy of personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- ask us to delete personal data in certain circumstances;
- object to certain processing, including some marketing or non-essential analytics;
- ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- request a portable copy of certain data where technically feasible.
These rights may be limited where data must be processed or retained for legal, regulatory, AML/CFT, fraud prevention, dispute-resolution, accounting, security or recordkeeping reasons.
2. What your request may cover
Your request may cover personal data we hold or can access through the Sinder App and Services, such as:
- account profile and contact information;
- identity and KYC information;
- support and communication records;
- app, device and security data;
- marketing preferences;
- transaction history and account details where held by Sinder or available to Sinder through the product integration.
Requests relating to ruya-controlled banking records may be routed to or coordinated with Ruya Community Islamic Bank LLC as issuer/account provider.
3. How to make a request
Email: privacy@sinder.ae
Please include:
- your full name;
- registered email or phone number;
- Emirates ID number or other identifier if relevant;
- the specific right or request you want to exercise; and
- any supporting information that helps us understand your request.
We may request additional verification to protect your data.
4. Timing and fees
We will respond within applicable legal timelines. Complex requests may take longer, and we will let you know where required.
We will tell you in advance if any fee is legally permitted and applies.
5. Deletion and closure
If you request deletion of data needed to operate your Sinder account or the ruya-issued account/Card interface, we may need to close or restrict your Sinder account or relevant product access.
Some records may still need to be retained for legal, regulatory, AML/CFT, fraud prevention, dispute-resolution, accounting, audit or security purposes.
